Stefanie Hirsbrunner, Politikwissenschaftlerin mit Fokus Afrika, ist Autorin mehrerer Sachbücher, u.a. "Sorry about Colonialism" und "Hotel Fünf Sterne". Zuletzt erschien 2016 der von ihr mit herausgegebene Sammelband "Afrika: Radikal neu denken?". Sie moderiert und lehrt, u.a. Interkulturelle Kompetenz und Business-Ethik. Seit 2018 betreibt sie zusammen mit Karla Kutzner die Buchhandlung InterKontinental, ausgezeichnet mit dem Deutschen Buchhandlungspreis 2021. Sie engagiert sich im Vorstand des gleichnamigen Vereins zur Förderung afrikanischer Literatur.
